Coverslip Preparation for VE-DIC Microscopy
Materials
| Coverslips (No. 1 1/2, 22 mm sq.) |
| Alconox detergent |
| DDW |
| Ethanol |
Procedure
| 1. | Clean coverslips by dropping one by one into a beaker of 5% Alconox and sonicating for 30 min. |
| 2. | Rinse well with 5 - 10 changes of DDW. |
| 3. | Repeat sonication 3 times with DDW, rinsing 3 - 4 times with DDW after each. |
| 4. | Repeat sonication 2 times with ethanol, rinsing 3 - 4 times with DDW after each. |
| 5. | Store immersed in 95% ethanol. |
