proWeb Table-Making Tools

Here at proWeb, we have created several tools to assist you in the creation of a table for your protein family. Here is a brief description of what they each do:

Table Maker
The Table Maker creates a Tab-Separated-Value table, suitable for import into a variety of spreadsheet programs. The input for this tool is any combination of ProSite and Pfam families, MAST and PSI-BLAST search results, and lists of SwissProt and GI numbers. An HTML table is produced as well. The resulting files may be resubmitted to add additional entries.
Table Converter
The Table Converter creates an HTML table from a Tab-Separated-Value table, adding hypertext links and other formatting helpful for a table of proteins.
Table Chopper
The Table Chopper breaks up a large HTML table into several smaller ones by creating subtables for organisms with large numbers of entries.
